How to convert HEIC to PNG

HEIC is the photo format iPhones use by default. While HEIC to JPG is the most common conversion, sometimes you need PNG instead — for example when you need transparency support, or when you are working with a tool that prefers PNG over JPG.

Steps

1. Open the Snapfold Image converter.
2. Set Convert from to HEIC and Convert to to PNG.
3. Drop your iPhone photos in, press Convert images and save.

HEIC to PNG or HEIC to JPG?

For most uses, JPG is the better choice because the files are smaller. Choose PNG when you need the image to have a transparent background or when you plan to edit it further without any quality loss.
