How to convert PDF to JPG
Converting a PDF to JPG is useful when you need to share a single page as an image, upload a document to a platform that only accepts images, or extract a chart or diagram from a report.
Method 1: take a screenshot of the PDF page
- Open the PDF in your browser or PDF reader.
- Navigate to the page you want.
- Press Windows + Shift + S (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + 4 (Mac) to capture the screen.
- Open the Snapfold Image converter, paste the screenshot with Ctrl+V and convert it to JPG.
Method 2: export from your PDF reader
Adobe Acrobat Reader (free version) lets you export pages as images via File → Export To → Image. Preview on Mac can export a single page as JPG via File → Export.
Will the quality be good enough?
For most uses, yes. The screenshot method gives you exactly what you see on screen. For print-quality output you need a paid tool like Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Can I convert a whole PDF at once?
The screenshot method works page by page. For bulk conversion of many pages, use a desktop tool like Adobe Acrobat or a dedicated online converter.
